Our society has classes on Tuesday and Saturday every week. Each class of the day is dedicated to different topics.

On Tuesday, our classes are shorter and more focused on a singular topic. We do simple practice speeches and presentations. Lesson planners also use Tuesday classes to teach members about certain speech techniques and aspects of debate.

Saturday classes are full-day classes, so there’s more time to explore public speaking and debate groupwork. We host game sessions on Saturday to boost teamwork. Other than that, our debate coach comes in to facilitate debate practice and offer guidance.

Our values:

Confidence

Here in EET, we prioritize confidence as much as fluency. We organize activities that build assertiveness. EET is a space for members to share any ideas for productive discussion with no judgement whatsoever. We hold regular sharing sessions to get members thoughts on new activities.

Love for Language

We host fun games and activities that show our members the beauty and versatility of the English Language, such as Alphabet Aerobics and even impromptu rap battles!

Tacit Understanding

Our society takes part in many competitions that involve tacit understanding and teamwork, for example, Forum Competitions and Debate Competitions. For that reason, we arrange activities that promote discussion and synergism. Through these activities, members will be able to work just as well as a unit when placed in a competitive setting.

Always Speak Your Mind

Members are always encouraged to speak out and share their opinions in these sharing sessions and meetings. We believe speaking your mind is the first step in becoming fluent.

No Man Left Behind

All opinions are treated with respect. We strive to understand our members and foster tolerant discussion. Whether in an official general meeting or a simple discussion about activities, we make sure no one’s standpoint is left out.
